Yes, Paw Nectar is safe to be consumed in small quantities.  If your dog consumes more than a small amount, we recommend calling your vet. In order to prevent your dog from licking, try distracting them with a toy or some food.  If this proves unsuccessful, try putting dog socks or shoes until the balm settles into the skin
